How can he be around to be in The Mandalorian at all? I'm guessing in current canon if Jango was a Mando I'm guessing most of the other Mando's didn't consider him one anymore once he started his bounty hunting career.

Years later, Jango has become a full-fledged Mandalorian warrior under Jaster's tutelage.
