The wights fill the fire moat with corpses to invade Winterfell, storming at great effort the walls, then easily overpowering line after hideout of defenders. Jo Ann's flashback within Joe's flashback is presented with the same style of detail as Joe's flashbacks, but it's doubtful that in the few minutes she had to talk with Joe that she could tell him her background with Max in such great detail and with verbatim dialog that Joe could "remember" the scenes as depicted (including a performance of a symphony orchestra). So for all that, I highly recommend The Long Night.
