I believe it adds another layer on how to show up for your them, and it all begins with love! We didn’t see a lot of stories like this when Marizol was transitioning, especially not from Latinx people, and we wanted readers to see themselves, their loved ones, their family members in a way that we didn’t have the opportunity to.
This isn’t how many Latinx and Black trans people will be seen or accepted.’ I knew that it was crucial to open up the conversation to be inclusive not just for my sister and our family but for countless others as well.
